Last Updated: March 10, 2026  |  App Name: Blackjack Lounge  |  Developer Contact: publisherofapp@gmail.com

Blackjack Lounge ("the App") is a simulated card game provided by the developer ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

Important: Blackjack Lounge contains simulated gambling content and is intended for users aged 13 and over (or older where local law requires). No real money is involved at any point.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Google Sign-In Account Data

When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account name, email address, and unique Google User ID (UID). This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore to enable cloud save, cross-device sync, and ranked gameplay. Lawful basis (GDPR): performance of contract / provision of the service.

1.2 Guest Account Identifier

Users who play as guests are assigned a randomly generated local identifier (e.g. GUEST·XXXXXX). This is stored only on your device to save local progress and is never transmitted to our servers unless you link a Google account.

1.3 User-Generated Profile Data

You may create a display name and select a profile avatar, which may include colour choices, illustrated characters, or other cosmetic options made available within the App. For Google-linked accounts, this is stored in Firestore. For guest accounts, it is stored locally on your device.

Your chosen display name may be visible to other users on in-app leaderboards, including the ranked mode leaderboard. Please do not use your real name or any personally identifying information as your display name.

1.4 Persistent Device Identifier

We collect a persistent device identifier (Android ID on Android; Identifier for Vendor on iOS) for security and fraud prevention purposes — specifically, to enforce account bans where a user has materially violated these Terms. This identifier is stored in Firestore linked to your account record. Lawful basis (GDPR): legitimate interests (preventing cheating and protecting the integrity of the game). Retention: ban records are retained for up to 6 months after the date of the ban, after which device identifiers are deleted.

1.5 Push Notification Token (FCM Token)

If you grant notification permission, a Firebase Cloud Messaging token is stored in Firestore and linked to your account. It is used only to deliver in-app messages such as daily reward reminders and important announcements. You can revoke notification permissions at any time through your device settings. Lawful basis (GDPR): consent.

1.6 Automatically Collected Technical Data

Third-party services used within the App may automatically collect:

This data is collected by Google Firebase and Google AdMob acting as data processors under their own privacy policies. Lawful basis (GDPR): legitimate interests (app stability and performance); consent (personalised advertising, where applicable).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

We do not use your data for purposes beyond those listed above without your consent.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

Full details are available in the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers, which may be located outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Google applies appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. By using the App, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.

5. Advertising and Ad Tracking Opt-Out

The App displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device advertising identifier and other signals to serve personalised ads.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. Ad networks that serve ads within the App may use your advertising identifier for ad measurement purposes as described in their own policies. If you purchase the optional "Remove Ads" in-app purchase, advertisements will be disabled for your account and AdMob will no longer serve personalised or non-personalised ads to you through the App.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for the following periods:

Residual data in encrypted backups may be retained for up to 90 days after the deletion of live data, after which it is purged.

7. Your Rights

7.1 Rights for All Users

All users may:

7.2 Additional Rights for EU / EEA Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or EEA, you additionally have the right to:

7.3 Additional Rights for California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information is collected, know whether it is sold or disclosed and to whom, opt out of the sale of personal information, and request deletion of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

7.4 How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of the above rights, please email publisherofapp@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Request — [Your Request Type]". To protect against unauthorised requests, we will ask you to verify your identity by providing the email address associated with your Google account (or your Guest ID if applicable) and, where necessary, your Firebase UID. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

Account bans may be applied automatically when a device identifier matches a banned record in our systems. This constitutes automated decision-making. If you believe a ban has been applied to your account in error, you have the right to request human review by contacting publisherofapp@gmail.com with the subject "Ban Appeal." We will review your case manually and respond within 14 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Blackjack Lounge contains simulated gambling content and is intended for users aged 13 and over (or older where local law requires). The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If we become aware that a user under 13 has provided personal information, that data will be deleted promptly. If you believe this has occurred, contact publisherofapp@gmail.com.

10. Data Security

We use Google Firebase's enterprise-grade security infrastructure, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Firestore access is restricted by security rules that prevent unauthorised reads or writes. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notification or updated store listing, with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
